My mother drank coffee since she was 4 yrs old and is 4'11, i was just wondering if their is any truth to it, or if it is just a wise tale.That was always my mothers response about her height.I appreciate any responses..........

height is largely determined by genetics
but it is possible for certain chemicals (such as caffeine, drugs and alcohol) to stunt your growth (again only possible but not necessarily a sure thing)
weight lifting while still in your growth phase is more likely to stunt your growth than caffeine

Not directly. Caffeine leeches water, and minerals from the body and diminishes appetite. So drinking coffee without compensating could quite easily stunt growth. However it also reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, cavities, colon cancer, liver cancer, and improves short term memory.

Not directly. The chemicals in coffee leach important minerals from your body and over time this can cause severe issues -especially for heavy drinkers, but the effects can be partially neutralized by eating healthy.

I don't think so. I started drinking coffee when I was 2 years old. I'm 6'1 Who knows, maybe I could be a giant right now, but it didn't hold me back as far as I'm concerned.

Most of Britishers are coffee drinkers and they are as tall as 6'6" and above. So, Coffee has nothing to do with height.

no...drinking coffee will not stunt your growth .....i am 5'11'' tall i drank coffee when i was a kid ....and i am the tallest in my family ....
