You've seen "Mean Girls," right? My best advice is to avoid all other girls like the plauge. Of course, you can't really do that, so my secondary piece of advice is not to take them too seriously. I know there were times when I cried myself to sleep in 7th grade over the mean stuff other girls said, but now that I'm 22 I honestly can't remember most of the things that upset me then. Also, remember that EVERYONE is in their awkward phase. No one cares about your breakouts- they're all to busy worrying about their own. In fact, anyone who makes fun of your looks is probably just trying to distract from her own awkwardness.

Oh- but hte lip gloss wouldn't hurt.

Just be yourself. Don't worry about what other people think. They are probably worried about what you think. So that's a waste of time. Learn how to spell school. LOL! It's no different than what you've been doing.... Advancing one grade at a time. Just do your homework. Every time you come up against a new challenge you will always look back and say that wasn't a big deal. I'm pretty sure that this will be the same. Good Luck!

alright look-you probably think you're a big shot now, bein in 7th grade and all, but here's the thing-you're not. The world doesn't revolve around you. There is a whole other world out there, with billions of people who have bigger problems than what to wear in the morning. (i know, i've been there, and i freaked out when my basketball coach yelled at me, get used to it) Anyway-something i should probably say is this; don't think everything your parents say is dumb and roll your eyes. There is some knowledge in those old brains of theirs, and it's to your advantage to use it. Don't be afraid to ask them questions. It's their job. And finally-have fun. Don't get so worked up on the boy that sits behind you in math class with the great hair. Don't freak out when your parents tell you "No, you can't" and storm out of the room. Being a teen is tough, and personally i'm glad to be leavin the teenage years soon. It was fun while it lasted but there's more to life than lip gloss and boys. (But boys are always fun ;) ) HAVE FUN IN 7th GRADE!!

Don't get too wrapped up in "everyone else", if you look around you, it is never truly everyone. Common mistake is doing whatever to be popular, not worth it especially since those who don't care and do their own thing tend to end up being the most popular or most successful. Also keep up/ develop good work habits so you can be better prepared for high school. Good luck and enjoy!

Learn how to study in middle school and get into the habit of taking school seriously. Once your in HS, you need to have study skills. I made the mistake of not caring about grades till 9th grade and now I'm hoping I can get into a good college with my GPA. Its been really hard for me to learn how to study after not caring for so long.

ahh middle school, im in 10th grade so ive recently been thru it, what you need to do is
(grades)-do the hw, honestly that makes a huge difference, it gets the easy hw grade and it teaches you everything you need to know for the tests/quizzes
(socially)-you should get to know a variety of people in all your classes, and then once you're friends with them, youll then soon become friends with that persons friends

have fun and good luck!

btw high school is a LOT more fun than middle school =)

to make yourself feel prepared, go to the first day of school with your best friend or someone else because you can be nervous together...dont be late on the first day...be early to all of your classes so you can get good seats and the side of the teachers...you will be nervous no matter what but when you do, just think of it as another school year no different then any other year jut one grade higher...you will get the hang of things fast good luck!

Just have fun. Middle school was the most fun I've had my whole life! Find some friends and stick with them. And say no to drugs!

Start looking pretty and slim. Wear sexy clothes if possible if you want to attract guys. Don't start anything with anyone by gossiping or anything like that.
