As to the God of the Bible, and the Father of Jesus Christ - He has many names, and each has a special reference to His Integrity, and Character.
There are other "gods" who claim to have power, but each will answer to him. These other "gods" who challenged His rule will find themselves in the Lake of Fire.
If you choose one of these "gods" over Jehovah, the God of the Bible, you may find yourself sharing their fate.
Interesting that you refer to God as "it". My impression is that on Judgement day, you will be quite confused just until the last moment before you yourself are cast into the Lake of Fire. Maybe then you'll believe, and realize who you have been tangling with....
Unless, you repent.
What do you think?
Additional thoughts - I dunno Spock type dude - that was a pretty judgemental anwer - and I'll admit, all sorts of Church's have problems, and produce some pretty difficult "believers" to deal with.
But you have to admit, no matter who you THINK that I am, this is the right answer, isn't it?

By the way jellybeanfury - great answer. Touche'. Wonder if Spock type dude would like a plasma enima from my light sabre?

Allah and God are the same thing. Jesus was a man like Mohammad and Krishna. All are God. The difference is Jesus, Mohammad,Krishna, You, and me are pieces of God. This is my opinion on the whole thing. By the way.. Nice eyebrows!

It certainly does make a differance! In the end if you don't call on the name he gave himself, how will you be saved by him?
Befor the objecting churchs took it out (Look in some very old bibles 18th century) And you will find Jehovah's name 70,000 times. "Really" Go to the Library and look in other bibles.
Look in none english bibles.
The American Standard also comes to mind.
YES! He does care.

It is Gods son that our salvation comes through, so I guess if the other so called gods don't have a son ,then it wouldn't be the same. Jehovah God sent his son Jesus to the world so that we could be saved.

there is a God and i dont really think he cares if we call him god or Allah, because Allah is God and God is Allah, its the minor details that religions fight over.

Well if you compare the two, their characteristics are different. I think God would want to be called by the name that represented him more. Why would you want to be called by a name when it was a total misrepresentation. If you were a Goldsmith would you be called Coppersmith? What if last names still represented occupations. You wouldn't want to misrepresented by being called Coppersmith.
God wants to be loved for who he is.

How dare you ask this question. God only comes in one flavour and that is then one true god of the one true religion. The real problem is all the theists have their own one true god and their own one true religious texts compared to the others. Some of them are gonna be upset when the end comes and they realise this was it, we were just intergalactic dust after all.

The words all mean the same I don't think the Big Guy would care. Just as we love him and worship him and keep him as a first priority.

Well, to answer your question Robert, I think He does care what we call Him because it's not very respectful to call someone by a name that is not their own. See my point Steve?
