My husband was born 07/19/1954 in Rochester NY. His mothers last name was Fischer he was given up right after birth. Mostly because he was sick. Please help us find his family we would like yo know them and there is medical back ground we need to know for our childrens sake. Possibly he had a twin sister. Please help us if you can..

He was let at the Catholic Family center in Rochester. The last name that was given to him was Rachow. We have no address or anything we got his mothers name by accident on a hospital record. And there is a twin sister.

You forgot to give your husband's name.
Remember to give his middle name as well and what part of Rochester he was from. All clues help. I am a genealogist.

Well you can start by contacting the courthouse in Rochester. Let them know the situation and they may be able to help you find the names of his parents. You may have to find them from their on your own. However, sometimes the social security office will help you locate them if needed. If not, you can always return to the address that is listed at the courthouse for their residency and talk to the neighbors.....because even though they may have moved does not always mean that the neighbors have and they may be able to point you in the right direction.
