ok...the reason why your hair goes really frizzy during summer is because of the humidity. the only way to help stop this is to invest in a really good de-frizz, that not only de-frizzes but helps with protection against humidity.

another tip...if you have curly hair...NEVER BRUSH IT!! always comb it with comb or with fingers, brushing upsets the curls and makes it puffy and frizzy.

shampoo and conditioner dont really play a part in this, unless you use cheap stuff that is stripping all the moisture out of your hair. your best bets for shampoos and conditioners with your hair are ones specially formulated for curly hair. they have the right formulation in them to help keep curls nice, soft, moisturised and less frizzy.

in the summer, try using a deep conditioning treatment once every fortnight, and use your de-frizz everyday that you intend to go out, dont use too much because these products are oily. you can also invest in a sun-protection spray for hair, this wont help with the frizzness but it will help in damage from the sun which your hair type is prone too.

hope this helps

some tips that i found:
try leaving a conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing it out. If you have extra time, try wrapping your hair in a towel with the conditioner on and let your hair "soak" for about 10-15 minutes. Then rinse it out.

When you're done, wrap your hair in a towel for several minutes to get out the access water instead of rubbing the towel over your head. Both towel rubbing and brushes lead to hair breakage and make it much more vulnerable to frizzy hair.

Try just putting on some mousse and comb it in. Let air dry and don't run your fingers or a comb through it until it's completely dry. Using a blow dryer in hot weather will probably make the problem worse. If you want your hair straight and that's the only way you can get it that way, then by all means, use the dryer. Just use the cool setting and don't use it every day.

Many shampoos and conditioners are good. however, not all big-name brands are better, they just carry a larger price tag. It's a good idea to use multiple brands. This helps to avoid build-up that will make your hair appear heavy and dull. Don't wash your hair every day. Your natural oils help tame the frizz.

Another way to stop frizzy hair is using a frizz control remedy like Frizz-Ease which is available in department and drugstores

When you're in the shower, comb conditioner through hair, rinse out, shake head and don't comb, brush or pick again. Do not towel dry, just shake out as much water as you can and then scrunch in John Freda's Frizz-Eze hair serum and curl enhancing mousse. (You can mix these in the palm of your hand). Then either air dry or blow dry on low with a diffuser attatchment. Don't mess with hair after that. I have curly hair and this works for me.

Do u use a heat defence gel/spray? I do and mine stays straight and I have really curly natural hair. I also use a product called black and white, after u straighten, just put a tiny bit in your hands, rub hands together then rub onto hair, it keeps hair manageable all day.

You need to make sure you are using good shampoo...never go cheap on your hair! And you can use a frizz control serum....there's a lot of good ones out there...unfortunately, i can't remember the one I use, but there are some REALLY good ones from Fantastic Sams, and they are only around $15

Go to a place that sells hair care stuff like Trade Secret or whatever you have close by and ask for stuff to put in your hair to help keep the friz down. I use a de frizzer cuz I have natural wave in my hair and it will friz up if I don't. I have heard also that Frizies is good.

possibly dont bathe so frequently. I even have relatively thick hair so mine gets oily speedy too. Use abit of toddler powder in it. So it wont look greasy , and your hair could be frizzy hair

i have the exact same problem. the only solution is to tie it up and use some mousse/hairspray to keep it looking normal. it's much better this way in the summer because you dont feel as hot or sweat as much.

first, wash your hair every day, and then brush it as much as you can. if that doesn't work, then try doing that and straightening your hair
