I have bottle fed many kittens. If they got to nurse the 1st time from their mom and were able to get the colostrum from her they can be bottle fed and survive.
Colostrum is a form of milk produced by the mammary glands in late pregnancy and the few days after giving birth. It is thick and yellowish. It has high concentrations of nutrients and immunities, but it is small in quantity.
It is also important to get a kitten milk formula. Cow milk products are not going to work. Any pet store sell this stuff. The survival rate depends on how long they were able to nurse. It gets better the older they are before they have to be bottle fed.

I, too, have done this many times growing up. There was one cat in the neighborhood who just didn't have maternal instinct whatsoever. She would have a litter of kittens behind the wood pile in the alley and just leave them there. We would find them, and nurse them with goat's milk and tiny little bottles designed for nursing puppies and kittens. As someone said earlier, they push with their paws when nursing. We always tied a washcloth around the bottle close to the cap so they had something to dig their little claws in. I don't know why, but they seemed to do better, and weren't as anxious feeding when they had something to push on instead of letting the paws fly helplessly around. It calmed them down considerable.

The other key is to keep them warm. We would always put a heating pad on LOW at the bottom of the box and cover it with towels or blankets. Then, we would put another light blanket in very loosely so they could snuggle into a cozy spot. The kittens that we bottle-fed were the BEST pets! Very loving and loyal.

Yes you can buy a baby kitten bottle and kitten milk from the pet store and give it only about an ounce or 2 at a time. How old is the kitten? If it is still tiny you will have to help it go potty to

It can be tough, you need the right kind of milk and depending on the age of the kitten, you may need to feed every 2-3 hours. The best brand of milk you can buy commercially is called "Esbilac". It is meant for cats and kittens. Never use regular milk as cats are naturally lactose intolerant. If you go to the vet, they can recommend a better solution, even a local farm supply store. The key ingredient that cats need that NO other animal can supply is called Taurine. Make sure you get that, or the cat can be prone to illness its entire life. You need to build up that immune system=)

As long as it had it's mother's milk in the first 24 hours of life. After that, you can use KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) and stimulate it to go pee (they don't poop until they start to eat dry food) You will need to feed the kitten every couple of hours with a curved tip eye dropper and keep it warm. Then when it's about 4-6 weeks of age, you'll want to start to wean the kitten. Good Luck !!

Yes...but you have to keep it warm and stimulate it to go to the bathroom....use a warm rag and rub it's little private parts including the bottom to make it go....You will need to feed it every two hours or so...depending on the age
If you can't get the kitten milk replacer you can use goat's milk....you get it at the grocery store around the evaporated milk....but don't use evaporated milk or any kind of cow's milk....it will give them the runs and it will die from dehydration

you will need to feed every 2-3 hours & you may have to help kitten pee/poop by using a old, clean washcloth on her privates - it mimics the mama licking the hindend to make kitty go potty.
