Okay I don't want any trouble from my neighbors, but they treat me like they're better than... Talk loud, laugh, snobbing me: the two women next door and across the street.
Today I was sitting on the porch, (thought no one was home) I was talking on the phone about how they ARE and how they SNOB me. I was talking loud but didn't realize it!
Then there they were looking my way - I thought they'd heard me!
QUESTION IS THIS: What can I do beside try my best to not look their way, ignore them while they try VERY HARD to intimidate me - WHEN THEY'RE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME?
p.s. I shouldn't have to stay in my house or feel uncomfortable in my own yard!

Do not stay in your house. You are allowing them to control your actions. They act better than you...so you do the same. Ignore them. Get in your car and go somewhere everyday, park, library, shopping, anything just get out of the house, Do your OWN thing.... You do not need these people as friendS and I tell you it would be a cold day in Florida before I would allow them to control my emotions. iF THEY STEP IN FRONT OF YOU
blocking your way, tell them sorry I have other plans...see ya later and leave. sit on your porch and talk...after all it is your porch. good luck friend..

I just say hello to them when ever I have to come across them I get that in the small community where I live, it knocks them off guard if they know they can intimedate you they will keep doing it, best off just ignore them.

When you see them doing that, wave at them and shout "Hi!" in a friendly tone of voice; that usually scares them off.

If that doesn't work, just turn your back and go about your business. Like all good pests, they should eventually get bored and go away.

I really, really like mystic's answer.

Kill 'em with kindness. You sure don't want to try to start a fight with neighbors, but you don't need to feel like an outsider in your own place, either.

i wouldn't either if i were you. just look right back at them. if they say something to you, say something back. that's why the TWO of them pick on you. bet if you pick their sorry asses off one by one, they'd knock it off. they only feel secure when they're together i bet. try it.

be sensible on things that you have to say if you can't talk a little softer.
