I know milk helps your nails...but I'm not positive about your hair. Take prenatal vitamins. My hair grows SOOO fast since I've started taking them. I had LONG hair and I cut it to my shoulders since it was so damaged and in about 2 months it's almost halfway back to where it was.
Also use a clarifying shampoo (if your hair is NOT colored) or a shampoo with tea tree oil and massage your scalp really good and that will stimulate the hair growth.
It's good for you to also trim it every 6 weeks.

GodJon- Taking prenatal vitamins doesnt boost your chances of getting pregnant.

Starlite- Brushing your hair that much is actually bad for your hair. It's not good to brush and brush it all the time because it damages it and causes split ends.

I dont know what foods you can eat , but pre-natal vitamins should help . Taking gelatin does help to strenghten nails so I dont see why it wouldn't help the hair since the fingernails and hair is made up of the same thing . Also do you remember a commercial where this hairdresser was soaking a womans fingernails in some Palmolive dishwashing detergent ? Well I have used Palmolive dishwashing liquid for years on my fine straight hair and it works as well . Helps to strengthen it . It couldn't hurt to try that as well .

I have been told that taking Vitamin E capsules makes hair grow longer & stronger. Also rubbing olive oil, castor oil or coconut oil in your hair. These oils are a little strong in smell so it is advisable to mix a scented fragrance in them before putting them in your hair. If your hair can plait, oil your hair then plait it.Wash it every couple of days.

No food will make your hair grow longer. Try taking gelatine capsules, and they'll help make your hair stronger and shinny
