I've heard that too, and I'm not sure where it originates. Maybe red = firebrand = devil or something along those lines. Anyway, I've also read the Bible, and Judas' physical characteristics are never described. While I suppose it's theoretically possible that his ancestors mixed with some red-headed Romans, I would consider it far more likely that he was the typical dark-haired Jew of the times.

Well if you didn't read it in the bible, i wouldn't take alot of thought to it, it don't matter what color his hair was or if he had hair, what matter is what he did to Jesus
