This is not a question of whether or not reincarnaton is true, nor am I asking what to say, I am just asking a hypothetical question of how one would send a message to one's future self if reincarnation was indeed found to be true.

NOTE: I said this was hypothetical. The reason I said this was so you all did not get into some inappropriate religious battle over the question. So, please avoid doing this and let not your conception of spirituality repress the right to free thought by others.

maybe leave clues that the reincarnated you will remember to find your message or leave things where you think the reincarnated you will go and then leave the message

There is no real way, because there is no rteal way of knowing who or where you'll be in your next life. Many people who believe in reincarnation believe that it is how your soul evolves into somthing better (or worse) depending what sort of person that you were in your life. Your next life should be able to live thier life without any message from their previous, so that they can find their own path, and so that your soul will evolve.

Well, interestingly enough, upon the death of each Dalai Lama, the monks go on a search to find his incarnation. They travel around, looking for signs, etc. When they found the last one, they put his personal things from his previous life in front of him, along with things that weren't his and he recognized his personal things. SO, perhaps you could leave some personal things with your grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends of grandchildren, etc. and maybe have the good fortune to run into one of them in your next life and recognize your own personal things they have!

I imagine by one's own writings and relics? If I'm not mistaken, I understand that the Dalai Lama is a reincarnation of a previous Dalai Lama and, as a child he knew the names of his previous friends and identified certain belongings...

That's a stab in the dark for me.

Rodney, we actually go through hundreds of incarnations not remembering anything about previous lives until we reach the plane in between where we take into account whether our life's purpose was reached.
So your message will be instantly recieved!!

What an interesting question!

Perhaps write a book.. or in this times have a website, or blog... that wouldn't be a necessary guarantee that you'll find it in the future, but it's my idea.

It wouldn't matter. I would never be lucky enough to find it in the next life. I still haven't found it from my past life.

you can't, nobody can predict the future. also, reincarnation -by default- does not carry forward normal memory of the individual.
