the popcorn section of the grocery store...i think even orville redenbacher is the one who makes it.

different types of popcorn hold up better when you add butter than the normal popcorn kernels you get at the grocery store. i remember it being said when i was watching the food network and it was the show "unwrapped" i think it was completely about popcorn and the products that are made with it.

I've never had butter make popcorn chewy... Are you using real butter, or margarine? If it's margarine, then yes...it "wilts" the popcorn and makes it soggy and disgusting. Margarine is made of water and oil. What happens when you pour water on popcorn? It gets soggy. Use real butter.

Try a Sam's Club or BJ's wholesale foods. Even Whole Foods may have something healthier and more creative. I would try there!
