It's how you feel about yourself...He is your boyfriend so he likes you don't worry about your looks just be you and you'll be fine...It's not the cover of the book that counts it's the inside

Thats because you are comfortable 'hiding' behind your phone, but you feel insecure when that facade is gone.
Try and relax and dont be too judgemental about yourself.
You should learn to loosen up a bit, after all, he is your boyfriend, not your dad!!!
Analyse why you are comfortable and then the next time, you talk to him on the phone, tell him things you normally would tell when you meet him at school. Also ask him what he thinks about you..
Make him feel comfortable about you, and he will return the favour
Keep talking and gradually, you will warm up to him.
Cheers!!

Lol.......that's perfectly normal. I remember dem dayz. Just do stuff that you guys both like doing such as movies, go to the basketball games etc. you can start with pop corn and move up from there as you may be still a bit uncomfortable to have a "big" meal with him. As time progresses you will become more comfortable with him..............have fun!

This is possibly because as humans, we were designed to socialize in an onpen manner. To face situations on a one on one basis. When we are on a computer, usising the phone etc, its aesier to express ourselves because nobody is there that can hurt our feelings, or vice versa.

ok first didnt let people tell you "oh then hes not the one for you", what do they know (no offense) something is telling me that you guys are stating out or close to that, just take your time and spend minimal time with each other in person and each time spend a little bit more time and get comfortable, and obviously you want to get comfortable, hes the one you picked, dont let people tell you this isn't for you because your the only one who knows that.

as a general rule of thumb, you might take into consideration that if you're nervous talking to your bf, it probably isn't meant to be. real relationships are built by two people who aren't scared to talk to each other. seriously..break up and give yourself some time. my guess is, he's just not right for you.

You get nervous `cuz u need to get COMFORTABLE talking to him in PERSON. Spend some time with him...instead of being on the phone with him...also because u have nuthin` to talk about upclose...find sumthin` interestin`...
