Lots of scanners 4 under 300 and they get cheaper with time, also easier operations and user friendly.

One suggestion i have though,
U'r operating system ME is as unstable as a 1/2 leg

Try changing to Win XP , Win 2000
- even backward to win 98....

Sure it's a PIII / PIV and has 128 MB RAM
- i suggest XP then

We have an h/p1315 scan all, and it works great. We only paid about $100 for it, and I have no problem with it. I've done pictures, and documents, and printed out pics from my digital camera, and everything comes out great.
