Your question really should be...is Aries energy and Cancer energy compatible. The answer is...No, they aren't compatible because the
energies are in square. That is, they block the free flow of energy of each. In astrology, the general heading for that is ASPECTS.
That said, if your question is whether 2 people are compatible, you need to see their charts. As you may or may not know, each person is made up of several energies..not just one.

I don't know if this is going to help you any, cuz it really doesn't answer your question, but I honestly don't think that u should base any relationship decisions on signs. I mean, sure, they seem to be pretty accurate about a person's characteristics, but can you really judge EVERY person based on "in genteral statistics"??
If you asked this question because you're ponderin' what's goin' to happen between u 'n your 'significant other' or a possible match, then I suggest that you get to know that person rather than judge them by their sign. You may even fall in love with their lil' quirky ways.
