Do you know that the governor of a Southern state did this during his campaigns? Who was he?

Chatting up some girls (who were also on bikes) I absent-mindedly let go the brakes and rolled backwards down a slope and over the edge of a low cliff. Me and the bike fell 15 feet into the surf below. No injuries, but deep embarrassment and a lot of sniggering at school on Monday.

I need lessons from the Governor - who is he?

Yes, my father could do that and it would drive us nuts, couse we could't. Now that I'm older mid 50's I can too. I can go up-down hills and ride around for a long time.
Use a helmet, bike in first gear the faster you go the easier it is, but also scarier. I did hit a car bounced off the hood and thought perhaps I should try a unicycle. That way I'm still over one wheel and can see easier were I'm going.
Also I got no respect from people riding backwards. Kids thout it was silly, older people said its a poor example, I'll break my neck, ect. I was thrown out of a parade too for riding backwards.

The unicycle only took me a week to learn and the responce is amazing, very possitive. Riding backward took me a lone time to learn every now and then I'd try over the years till finnaly I really pushed myself, only to find no one seemed to care as mush as I did.
There is a web sight about trick riding on bikes put in those key words and find lots on this. I enjoyed it even if no one did.

Yes I have tried before. I knew I was going to fall so I caught my self. But one time I saw Lance Armstrong riding his bike backwards on the highway. I thought he was going to fall then he went no-handed. Yes this is true.
