i get cutting the tips of the socks of but how exactly do i roll the socks together

I think you only need 1 sock for a small bun. Or you can have 2, one inside the other for extra thickness, if you know what I mean. Cut the toe off then roll it so it's like a donut. The put the sock donut over a ponytail with the hair sticking through the middle. Then you need to separate the ponytail and spread it over the sock donut and pin it all the way around. You can tuck the ends and the clips right in under the sock bun.

You can actually buy hair donuts though if the sock thing is a bit too much, it may come out lumpy as well.

Cut the toe of the sock off and roll it up like a scrunchy. Put it on your hair like a ponytail holder and evenly cover the sock using your hair. To keep the hair around the sock, use a rubber band.
