Just be careful who you give her to. At shelters, the new parents are screened before they can take home a pet. I would be VERY careful and ask, ask, ask ALOT of questions, even check their vet records and make sure that they have taken care of previous pets well, I would even go so far as get references. Ok, to some I know this may sound crazy, but you want to make sure she is going into the type of home you want for her. It sounds like you know what she needs in a new home and you need to make sure she gets it. It willl hopefully be her "forever home." Gloria owner of a 3 year old Chihuahua.

Sounds as if the first answerer will take it.In case they don't,here's what I did.I found a dog that was abandoned and could not keep it myself,so I contacted a local non kill shelter, and told them that I had a dog to place, and I did not want to bring him to the shelter.I wanted them to contact me when they got a request for this type of dog.Within 48 hours,I got a call from the shelter, and the dog went to a great home.the shelter screens everyone that adopts a dog,so I knew that the dog was in a good home.Try that.good luck.

you ought to consistently kennel or buckle your canines in while using. this is risky to have a unfastened canine interior the motor vehicle. this is distracting to the driving force and the canine might by threat get into the gasoline - pedal section and reason injuries. Plus, canines in simple terms like toddlers or any human might nicely be harmed interior the form of a motor vehicle accident. domestic dogs often leap returned particularly quickly from separation. anticipate him to be very drained for some days and unhappy. (you need to additionally take him to the vet throughout the time of those first few days). We consistently enable our canines sleep of their very own mattress. Plus crate-training them is the least confusing for burglary, and chihuahuas and different tiny canines make MANY injuries because of the fact of ways tiny their little bladders are. you do no longer choose that throughout the time of your mattress. Plus their muscle administration isn't nicely developed till they are older. in addition to, chihuahuas are tiny canines. i've got heard of chihuahuas breaking bones from leaping off tall furnishings the incorrect way, or falling off. we don't have a chihuahua, yet a miniature pinscher and a doberman pinscher. My sister owns a chihuahua (and a few different canines / fosters / rescues). have exciting with your puppy! you could need to socialise!

I know this doesn't answer your question, but for future reference and anyone willing to take her off your hands.... chihuahuas don't like to be with any other breed but there own, especially with a dog as big as a Shepard. I have 4 chis and have had them my whole life.

See if there is a chihuahua rescue group in your area. These groups will bend over backwards to see that their babies are well placed.
