PRA is progressive retinal atrophy...a degenerative eye disease. You get CERF certification yearly for breeds effected.

CEA is collie eye anomoly..also an eye disorder. CERF covers that also.

PDA is patent ductus arterosis..a heart condition where there is a duct that should close at birth and doesn't. Requires surgery

OCD is osteocondritis dessicans. It is a orthopedic problem that occurs in the elbows and shoulders mainly. Lameness usually the sign. X-rays needed to diagnose. Surgery can correct.

Sorry.....

PPM is also an eye defect having to do with stray iris tissue I think. Again CERF

Lens Luxation also an eye problem...displacement of the eye. Again CERF!!!

It seems Border Collies and Collies in general have some real eye issues!!!!!!

I guess that is why CERF is around!!! Hope no one ever buys a collie whose parents haven't been CERF cleared!!!
