If a guy I'm dating tries to mirror me a lot, is it just that he is trying to build something with me? Or is that so he can control the relationship? (as in ensuring that I like him) The guy I'm seeing tries to mirror me alot, like wearing the same colors of clothes when we go out, mirror how I feel about things, etc. I'm flattered, but have been burned in the past and wonder if it's genuine or if he's just trying to secure his position?

He sounds insecure.

"Imitation is the best form of flattery" is an expression I think is true. Give him the benefit of the doubt. Someone who doesn't care wouldn't even notice details about you - he'd be indifferent. He is taking you in, either consciously (he likes you) or unconsciously (he likes you). So what's the problem??? If you have control issues on your mind - these are about you, no doubt. Relax and when he really does something bad like stand you up, tell lies, etc. THEN get upset!

Indeed, you need an AFDB to prevent mirroring and possible hacking of your brainwaves by the NSA. Also be aware of men using phermones laced with LSD to get you to remove your panties...

It sounds like he lost his own identity.

It is both control, and flattery. Be cautious.
