Don't blame just Bush, the Democrats don't even want to stop them, perhpas build them a better road to come here on.
But I am just waiting for a film on the news showing the military waving at some mexicans crossing the border, or perhaps giving them some water ( if they did not, can we say law suit for not helping someone in need)
They were given no power of arrest, so they can't touch them

They do have power. They won't be doing the arrests BUT they can hold the person until the Border Patrol arrives to actually do the arrests.

I know, save the national guard and just get some of those old people from Wal-Mart. Jobs, Aisle 6. Welfare, Aisle 2.

They get no weapons, I guess this is the nice way to let them in.
Don't you cross the border or I will tell on you!

Oh great.....not only do they look silly standing there in their blue Wal-mart vests and yellow happy face buttons, but don't you think having them pass out carts to carry belongings is a bit too encouraging to our visitors?

I think they'll be better, friendlier, and more helpful than the greeters at Wal-Mart.

Don't know where you are, but the national guardsmen down here in California will be armed when they do border patrols.

Maybe the senior crowd at WalMart could provide training.

it ensures assaults & injuries happen which will justify harsher measures. soon you will get your huge wall around the southern border, just like in 1940s germany.
