Why don't you just look at the world around you and see there is no evidence for god then we could go forward discovering new things using science which uses facts and evidence rather than superstitions held for thousands of years with no factual evidence to support them.

The big bang can be proven the universe is 2 or 3 degrees hotter than it should be, if you get a powerful radio telescope you can look into space and see right at the edge of what we can see microwave radiation from the big bang so we can almost see the big bang happening also turn on your TV and set it to any frequency where there is nothing on and 2% of that fuzz is caused by radiation from the big bang. Now try and prove creationism THEORY.

ambassador what evidence do you have? ohh a book says so it must be true. No not really because a book says Frodo cast the ring of power into the fires of mount doom but that doesn't make it true.

TommyG yep get a thin sheet of gold and fire X-rays at it and some of them will bounce off and others will pass though showing it is made from dense bits with gaps in between and theses dense bits are atomic nuclei.

lordaviii but there is evidence for evolutions there is antibiotic resistant bacteria and you can look at fossils of creatures changing over time. Evolution has been proven weather you like it or not.

"I just don't understand you people"
We know your can't understand us the bible tells us that.... We have Faith and you do not that is why you can not understand us.
"I can prove god doesn't exsist there is no evidence for the exsistance of god that can whitstand crtiasisem so god doesn't exsists. There proven god doesn't exsist."
This dose not prove God doesn't exsist. We may just not know everything there is to know.

To claim God to be a concept without evidence is to overclaim somewhat. The teleological argument notes that the universe is surprisingly fine tuned for life to emerge - to the extent that the odds against this universe existing in the precise life-friendly way it does are about a billion to a billion decimal places. In fact, the teological challenge is a potent enough one that three variants of the anthropic principle have been thought up to broach it.
St. Thomas Aquinas made some fairly clever scholastic arguments for the existence of God. He's a difficult read, generally beyond the grasp of all but the most intelligent readers. However, if you fancy yourself an intellectual, you might pick yourself up a copy of Summa Theologica. It might not change your thinking, but it would allow you to see that a theistic position is nowhere near as unreasonable a view to hold as you seem to think it is.

Tom, I'm with you in theory...
However, I guess you could call the complexity of everything evidence of a higher power, although its weak evidence as its just, "we can't think of anything better".
Still, there's nothing wrong with faith. There IS something wrong with ignorance. Ignorance is disregarding any idea to the contrary of your own, especially if there's evidence to back it up.
- There is far more evidence to support evolution than the "Adam and Eve" story (notice, I did NOT say creation...I'm just referring to Genesis). To ignore this is ignorance.
- There is PROOF that the earth is not as young as it would have to be for Genesis to be correct. To ignore this is ignorance.
It goes the other way around though too
- We have either a weak explanation (or none at all) of certain events in our universe other than a higher power. While we may one day have a better explanation other than a higher power, as of now we do not. To ignore that possibility is ignorance.
So, faith I'm ok with. Ignorance I hate.

why don't you just look at the world around you and see that there is no evidence for evolution? then we could know that we truly have meaning and go forward with our lives and make something better of this world. when you stop trying to call the most unscientific things "science" just to push your atheistic propoganda, and realize that there are no evidence or facts whatsoever for your claims; the truth held for thousands of years will finally come to light as all the factual evidence we need. why do you disregard all scientific evidence and believe in something with absolutely no proof? i just don't understand you.

There is no good evidence for god, just some written hearsay and fabrication and other anecdotal type evidence all easily made up and hard to repeat, prove or disprove.
I think there should be an injuction placed on religious folk to stop playing their same scratched record over & over.

Can you PROVE that there is no God? No. Just as I can't prove that there is, but there is a thing called faith and that is why I believe in a higher power, but to each his own. Believe what you want to believe.

What you are not understanding is called: FAITH! You don't understand it, because it is something you have to ask GOD for... and evidently you have not pursued this request...It's is given as a GIFT... too bad... you are not on the list to have it given to you. You have to ask for it and I don't think you have the qualifications as the implication of your question's attitude shows your thinking...and you don't seem too friendly to the idea of GOD!
