Resist hiding in baggy clothes. They actually accentuate the problem and make you look lumpy. Choose streamlined clothes in dark colours, make sure they fit you right, add some impressive accessory around your neck to draw attention up. Keep your hair neat, go easy on the bling bling, pamper your skin and don't forget perfume. Most of all, enjoy whatever you do, even now!

Gosh, I have gained about 30-40 pounds too, so I know what you are going through.

Well, here are two things that I have always heard:
1) dark colors help to hide the flaws
2) do not wear horizontal striped clothing
I believe these are somewhat true.

Personally, to help me best hide my problem areas, I really look at the style/design of the clothing and go for the loose fitting garments--especially in shirts.
If my shirts are too form fitting around my stomach, it shows my pouches, so I like to wear darker colors to hide that or to just wear shirts that are not so tight in the front area.
I like to wear all colors, not just dark ones, so loose fitting ones help me achieve that look.
As for pants, I like to wear them pretty form fitting-that show off my good features. Again, if they do not look good on, I will not buy them. They must look great, so that I will feel great. If the pants are too high waisted, then my butt looks flatter and usually the lower rise or regular pants will look best and make me have some curves and accentuate the good ones I already have.
Layering clothes is also a good diversion because you can still show off some skin while hiding those problem areas.
Good accessories and nice shoes will make you look and feel better and get noticed just as much as your clothes, so do your best to draw attention to other features than just your size.
Good luck shopping and dieting healthy!:) you are on the right track. You can get back to your ideal weight, but do not stress if you don't get there. It took awhile to put it on and it will take awhile to lose it. So, that is normal and you need to lose weight slowly, in order to keep it off. Crash diets do not work for long.

Yes Babe,
Get a body Girdle, I know - I know they sound so old school, but trust me, Not just a Panty Girdle but the kind that you put on like a Swim suit, that covers from you Shoulders to your buttox. Put it on over your Underwear and Under your Clothes and it really does help control things, at least the appearance of them. Check for the one that matches your size/bra size and i AM SURE that you will be pleased. Now don't try to get one too small because then it will very uncomfortable and squeezing you too tight, but if you get one that fits, it will look and feel cool, while your working your weight down to the size that you want. They are sold everywhere but for a reasonably priced one with good fit try Walmart, Target, Kmart etc.

I hope that this information is helpful to you, and keep your Head up all the While ok!

I like to layer my clothing (I'm in the same boat, gained 40, have lost 20) I usually wear a tank or tee shirt, with a blouse over the top. Avoid elastic waist as they tend to make your hips look bigger. Stay away from splashy patterns. Dress in bright colors (I love the turquoise, orange, lime, purple out this year). Dress for comfort. Accessorize with contrasting necklaces and bracelets. My biggest hint is lingerie. Buy nice lingerie - camisoles. It makes you feel prettier and sexier, even if no one sees it.

well if you wear straight leg pants with pointy toed shoes, it'll make your legs look longer. i mean straight leg, NOT TAPERED. wearing clothes that fit you right will also make a big difference. Watch What Not to Wear for more tips, and you can search your body type on google to find out what kind of clothes will look most flattering on you.

Don't wear faded jeans. Go for dark colors. Don't wear clothes to baggy or to tight. Good luck on losing that weight.

wear shirts that are two pieces like a tank top and a short sleeve shirt that you can button at your breast. it creates a nice line and draws attention to your boobies rather than your bumps!

Wear black clothing, or vertical lines/stripes. Don't wear any bright clothing, or horizontal lines/stripes.
