Without cutting the guy to the quick, just let him know that you are intersted in someone else. He doesn't need to know the details. How well do you know the person that is asking? Is he someone who sees you regularly and knows what you are up to? If so tell him that you like him as a friend, but are not interested in persuing a relationship with him. Then ask him if he'd like to go see a movie with you and another friend or something like that so that it doesn't hurt so much to be rejected by you. If you need help, you can e-mail me...Good luck

Keep it funny and light make up cards like business cards or 3x5 cards stating "You never know but not right now. when you wish to ask again just present this card I will give you 3 more chances if still no then it's really no. Thank you for your interest" then as they present the card put check marks. you know three strikes your out. You never know how things might work out. I have 3 daughters and this works well for them. If you REALLY don't want to go then just say so.

"Thank you for asking, but I have other plans."

If you DO want to go with the fellow and really ARE busy that night, you add "Maybe some other time?" or "I wish you'd asked me for NEXT weekend" or some other strong hint. If you omit the hints, it means you don't want to go out with the fellow at all.

Of course, you can't give this sort answer if the silly twerp asks "Hey, uh, wanna go out sometime?" But a fellow who doesn't know how to ASK for a date probably wouldn't understand the subtleties of the polite response anyhow. Tell this boor, "I'm awfully busy these days. Maybe sometime next year."

If you wouldn't be totally embarrassed by being seen with this person go on a date with the. Each of you help pay for the date so your not using them. After the date tell them you really like them but you just don't feel anything more then Friends with them. Plus you never know if you give them a chance you might like them.

Just tell him you don't want to go out with him. Don't be mean about it though. In fact, make light of the conversation by saying something like, "I know, how guys hate being placed in the friend zone, but, I definitely wouldn't mind being friends with you." Something along those lines. I mean, no offense, but it's not like you're some kind of goddess---he'll get over you, even if he claims he won't. It's Life. And Life trucks onward bound.

There is no right way to say no other than to just say you don't want to go out with them.

Just be honest. Nothing is more infuriating than finding out that someone was too chicken to tell you they had a boy friend or that they just werent intrusted. Why lie? i'd rather hear the truth and feel stupid for a moment.

You say " No thank you" i already have other plans.

If they ask for another time" No thank you, I am really not interrested" !!!

Always be honest even if the truth hurts the other person. I f you arent honest then that person wont be able to move on and that to me is a mean thing to do.

In the nicest way you can find, tell them that your just simply not interested. If you feel more needs to be said then say it, but don't make yourself miserable and take up his and your time. You can do this in a way where if you still want to you can be friends.

Oh my God you little Geek
Get away before I freak
I'm a babe and you're not
You can't handle what I've got

You ugly little zit faced scum
You asked me out
You must be dumb

I forgot the rest of the lyrics. Seriously, a sincere "No Thanks" is much better to hear than "Lets Just Be Friends". If he can have the courage to ask, you can have the courage to tell him no truthfully.
