Kind of. It can certainly produce the same sort of brain chemistry as drug addiction, and the same rituals, dependence, social/financial consequences, etc. I think it can fall closer to similarity in "addiciton" for some people than "drug."
As far as my addictions have gone, this one is a piece of cake. Cocaine in 1991 ruined my life in six months. Alcohol was slower, and it only ruined my body. Oddly enough I had no serious consequences other than health until the very end, where it had some bad relationship issues as I was trying to stop.
Before Y! Answers, my addiction was MMORPG's. First Dragonrealms, then Everquest, then World of Warcraft. Those affected me (believe it or not) in more ways than booze ever did.
Ugh, TMI again, eh?

Will some of it are drugs, and some of it are good.
But heres a tip, if you see some information on the bottom, it might be not true. And it can put virus on your in your computer for no reason. But just be careful please. :-)

In reference to it being addicting, yes. People can become addicted to many things other than drinking, druging, prescription meds, smoking, caffeine, etc.
People are addicted to gambling, porn, bingo, various computer sites--including this one.
