I'm trying to lose as much pounds by August 1st. I've been eating good and excersising each day. I've been running 1.8miles each day of the week (except Sunday). Is this enough?

That sounds good. If your legs are ok, I would recommend gradually increasing your running distances. It would be good to run for about 30 minutes.

Yes, it is enough! Good job for knowing that you won't lose weight overnight! You might want to increase your mileage every week, but there is a general rule to help prevent injuries: Don't increase your weekly mileage by more than 10% every week. But good job on making a goal and sticking to it! Just remember that it is easy to get carried away and pretty much eat nothing, but I eat 3000 calories a day and run track and I am at a great weight! So good luck, I know you can do it!

Go for 3 miles, your soo close bro. Do that 5 days a week, and take 2 days off. This way you'll get more miles in and won't get burned out. I ran track in college, so I've been there. Good job!

well it all depends on the outcome you're seeing so far... i think that now you should stick to what you are doing and as you get closer to the deadline step up your work out and eat even healthier... i need to lose weight by july 20 and i want to drop 20 lbs to get a little boost. you know what i mean? well during the day i run 2 miles per day and on sat and sun i run 4.5 mi. just remember... stick to your work out and dont give in to the temptations... trust me it's all worth it when you complete it! Good Luck!

It depends. Do you feel tired after running? Because if you don't feel tired you are not doing enough. Plus you are supposed to push yourself to the point where you feel uncomfortable so if you feel comfortable, I am sorry but no you are not going to lose that weight.

Sounds like you are doing great. If your goal is to lose as much as you can....well ...can you do more? Only you can answer that. Keep up the good work!

Yes. That's excellent! Keep up the good work. And make sure you don't over-exert yourself. If you feel your body starting to crash, give it a rest... your muscles need to repair themselves.

Try a little weightlifting. Building muscle helps to burn fat and that helps to lose weight.
