I would suggest leaving it down and just brushing it neatly. Or, sweep it into a high ponytail.

ummmm..honey ur in fourth grade!!!! you shouldn't be worrying about that!
ok well it depends on your hair! if your hair is long do a sloppy bun, if your hair is shoulder length then do a high swept pony tail and if your hair is short then do pig tails -- and i know that that sounds kid-ish but if you put them low and behind your ears the guys will be all over you!
and remember to be careful...there are many creeps out there!

try french or pigtail braids. if u choose pigtail braids, leave a few peices of hair out at the front, it looks pretty like that (don't do it with french braids, though. it looks sloppy)
