Baking soda can whiten your teeth, but not very much. It is also very harsh to your enamel, and not recommend. If you want whiter teeth and cant afford to do it through your dentist, I recommend Crest White Strips Premium. They can be a little expensive (i think around 30-40 dollars), but they work very well. I tell my patients to try them if they are tight on money. Any sort of whitening toothpaste is a joke. Once the paste gets mixes with your saliva, it doesn't really do anything. Good luck!

Peroxide (food grade) can ONLY be used if you have no metal fillings. I brush mine with pure baking soda, and they are cleaner and healthier than toothpaste could ever do. It takes time to whiten 'em, but it's worth using anyway. Crest whitestrips are bullshit chemicals that *** with your enamel. Don't bother w/ 'em.

2 months. But it is a nice white. My uncle is 67 years old and he has all his teeth and the only thing he has ever brushed his teeth with is baking soda.
The only mouth was he ever used is Listerine.
His teeth are whiter and prettier than mine.

A long time, it won't be very pronounced though. You should just get whitestrips.
