The four horsemen are symbolic. They represent the conditions that would be evident on the earth when the rider on the white horse goes forth to complete his conquest. As you read on, you will find the rider on the white horse is identified as 'King of Kings and Lord of Lords'. He rides a white horse because it symbolises righteous warfare. Righteous because it has been authorised by God and will remove the wicked. The beast is political. It has been given the number 666 because 6 represents imperfection biblically speaking, and 666 emphasises this. The solution to mankinds problems is stated in the scriptures at Mathew 24 v 14. It is also something that Jesus told his followers to pray for. You might also like to consider John 17 v 3 and then you will see why the Bible is actually better than Harry Potter!

I don't believe that the Bible is "just a good read" like Harry Potter.
I believe everything the Bible says, but I don't ever remember reading where the beast is going to appear on 6/6/06. On the other hand, we don't really know when he will so it could happen, but I am not concerned about it happening!
Enjoy tomorrow, because it will probably be just like every Friday the 13th, or New Year's 2000. NOTHING.

You need spiritual understanding in order to understand God's word. The Bible should never be confused with a novel---this is not a story for your reading pleasure. The Bible is your survival guide while living on Earth. As far as the Beast goes, this is not an actual beast but a description that was given as a mighty power that's in control. One world currency, one world bank are all examples of a large scale of control from one source. Now if you're thinking of the AntiChrist, that's a whole different story. If you read the book of Revelation, it tells you that the AntiChrist doesn't come in power until after the Rapture. Don't know about the Rapture? You're really in trouble!

If you ARE an atheist then why ask this question? You won't accept anyone's answer of truth. The truth is, the four horsemen are not evil monsters, not when you consider that a horsemen in the bible times often represented a leader or king. Imagine four great kings raised up to war. Imagine four ways to fight. Now imagine those four lead their armies to war at one place and time. Answer, devastation. The real truth is, we do not have a frame of reference for those times because they haven't happened yet. All we can do is guess based on what the bible tells us. I am a believer in God but I don't truly know what will happen in the future, I can only look at revelation and wonder. But I don't trouble myself with it. It was written for those who will be around in those times, so they will know that God speaks the truth. That will only come to pass AFTER Christ comes back and the current age (of God's Grace) ends. When that happens, those born of God will meet Christ in the clouds and the time of revelation will begin to unfold. Until then, well, we can only wonder. By the way, did you know God loves an atheist? Gives him something to aim at! (Just Kidding!)

Harry Potter is just a fairy tale or should I say a fairy tale written with the help of the Devil. The Bible is a fact based book written with the direction of the Trinity of the God head. When will the beast make his appearance on earth for everyone to see him? No one knows - that IS what the BIBLE says.
It's going to be so sad that when people wake up to realise that what is written in the Bible is true it might be too late. The Truth shall set you free. The Truth that we are talking about here is the BIBLE.
I hope you do realise it before it's too late. God only wants your love in return and nothing else.

The beast, the four horsemen..!
Their will not appear tomorrow or any day..!
Just another fable from the bible to keep the weak minded in line with church policy so those at the head of the Church can reap the financial benefits and power gratification of having all those people that can not think for themselves!

No, not at all...It has already accured and continues to to be seen earth wide. Please understand that there the apostle John sees in [vision] a white horse and the one seated upon it,’ understood to picture Jesus Christ riding forth as heavenly king. Next comes a rider on a “fiery-colored horse,” representing war such as erupted in 1914 C.E. A black horse with a rider is third, and it represents enormous food shortage. The account then adds: “And I saw, and, look! a pale horse; and the one seated upon it had the name Death. And Hades was closely following him.”—Rev. 6:1-8.
What informed person can deny that such extraordinary “woe for the earth and for the sea” has marked our 20th century since 1914, the year in which, according to all evidences, the so-called “four horsemen of the Apocalypse” began their ride? (See Revelation 6:1-8.)
Plainly, World War I of 1914 and World War II of 1939 and the scores of wars that have followed since 1945 throughout the earth are a modern parallel of the “wars and reports of wars” (along with famines, pestilences and earthquakes) that Jesus said would make the years of 29 to 70 C.E. the “last days” of the Jewish system of things that revolved around Jerusalem and its rebuilt temple.
The agonizing distress that befell Jerusalem in 70 C.E. fell short of being what Jesus described in his prophecy of Matthew 24:21, 22. But today the antitypical Jerusalem (Christendom), yes, the whole world empire of false religion, yes, the entire global system of things, is headed for the “great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.” Not strange, then, that we see undergoing fulfillment the prophecy that the apostle Paul made about 65 C.E. and set down in 2 Timothy 3:1: “You [Timothy] may be quite sure that in the last days there are going to be some difficult times.”—The Jerusalem Bible.

you need to look at more important matters first, yourself, if you are good and live a good life, doing good to others etc. then you have no need to worry about satan, his demons, or the four horsemen. but if you really got the guts to see more unlike half the population of the world who are afraid of their own shadow, then pray about it and see what happens. i am new to this and after reading some thoughts cant believe there are so many people in the world that think man is a freak of nature, so to say. read the bible ask for guidance from a friend and u wil c.

No, I don't think the beast will come tomorrow. The Bible has been proven by many archaeologists and scientists to be scientifically true. I believe that the Bible is accurate in every way, and that it is way better than Harry Potter. The beast will come in his own time.

If you suddenly hear of mass disappearances, millions of people vanishing worldwide throwing everyone into a panic; that's when you should be very worried. This biblical event is called The Rapture, when Jesus returns to take His people home. If you are still here, you have been left behind, and the next seven years will be when the antichrist reveals himself, and turns this planet into hell on earth. The black plague, the holocaust, the Inquisition, and any war ever seen will be a picnic compared to that. The Bible is a great read for a born-again Christian, but its foolishness to everyone else. They can't understand it, and what's more the devil doesn't want them to, just keep on living the status quo, you'll be fine!NOT
