i have a sown and some glued in....will it break your hair off?

I would just stick with a weave. (I do weaves, and micro braids) there is no risk of breakage if it is put in right. If you are going to use the glue, separate the hair in straight even parts and bond right to the scalp, so that you don't damage the hair. (I used to do a dancers hair that way because she was scared of the needle) It wont damage the scalp, it works like rubber cement. Just make sure its a generous even bead of glue, and that you cut the strips of hair into small sections. Have some one help you with the parting.

Yes, it always breaks my own hair. I go to my stylist every two weeks. Still, you have to be careful.
