We would like to get married at our home, but don't know if that is possible for the J.P. to go to our home

check your local phone book. now a day's you can find small wedding chapels, Those people will also marry anywhere you like. Plus they prepare your marriage license so no need to go your county court house. One shop stop.

Call your county courthouse. Some JPs will do marriage ceremonies, but some won't - the guy in my county thought it wasn't in his job description! We ended up getting a family friend who was a JP in another county to marry us.

Check your state laws, too - In some states, anyone can marry you if they fill out the right paperwork (like your fav. uncle or whoever).

justice of the peace is the magistat you go to your local court house and talk to them or call them they are the justice of the peace in most towns. and they went into my sisters house and married her on her stairs so i dont see why they couldnt for you.

go to your county court house.
file for your marriage license.
than take up stairs to judges chambers.
all for about $35.00
you will be Mr.&Mrs. im about 20 min.

i really don't know but how about a notary if i'm not mistaken sometimes they can be used to officiate the ceremony.
