If you shop a Wal-Mart super store, I like and buy the Great Value Extra Virgin for use as salad dressing and other things that do not require cooking.

If you are going to use to cook meats and other items the use a cheaper 3rd or 4th pressing Oil. It will still add flavor and not cost nearly as much as Extra Virgin or Virgin olive oil.

This is how I do it and have never had a complaint about the flavor to the food cooked with the lower cost oil. Trust me, my wife has no problem in letting me know if something I cook doesn't taste good.
