I refuse to use the microwave unless I HAVE to. When someone turns it on, the baby's eyes roll back and I feel all woosy. Sometimes I even get a head ache. What does this mean and why does the microwave make the T.V. in the room next door get static and lines in the picture?

A microwave oven doesn't make static. Electrical storms do.

A microwave oven produces r.f. energy at microwave frequencies. If any of the energy escapes from the oven, through an imperfect seal for instance, then it can affect a t.v. receiver, and, in bad cases, affect people too.

You should get it checked by a competent technician - urgently.

Have someone check the seal on the door to insure its not leaking...make sure the seal is clean. Your microwave should not interfere with anything if its 3 feet away from anything.

Have that seal checked or buy a new microwave

Good Luck :)
