So I've been told. I've been watering with lukewarm water.

Is this really necessary?

You should let it set in a jug for at least 24 hours before using so that chemicals in it can evaporate.

i always water my plants with cold water...i dont think it matters really just as long as the water isnt boiling hot..i have a house plant that i had for 2 years now and been using cold water..It hasnt died yet infact i can wrap the vines around my whole kitchen

Try boiling your water, then let it cool until it is luke- warm and then use it. You will notice a difference in your plants.
