You go into a gas station and hand the clerk money and tell them $40.00 on pump number 10. You go out and pump the first 99% (about 12 gallons) of the gas in the first two minutes. Within 35 cents of completing, the pump slows to a crawl and it take another minute to pump the last 35 cents. Why does it slow down at all if you've already prepaid? The pump is programmed to NOT GIVE you a penny more than the $40, so why the slow down and waste of another minute of your time? It should not slow down until the last drop. Poor design or do they just like irritating you for the fun of it?
