Someone whose work you have always admired, and you have always wanted to meet...

and there are a lot of other people around who feel the same way about this person, but don't realize that he's standing right there, what would you do?

Just say hi, let him go on his way without being bothered?

Acknowledge quietly that you know who he is? (if that's possible)

Bust him in front everyone?

(This really happened to me recently, and everyone is telling me that I did the wrong thing. I don't want to reveal what I did until I hear what others might have done in my shoes. Not that I agree with everyone who is telling me that, because I stand by my actions. I'm just curious.)

And again, it doesn't matter who this person is. It's anyone who fits that description to you.
