What do you think? I'm trying to think of another actor that could have done better, but I'm drawing a blank.
Vin Diesel - good for action but not the best actor
Will Smith - good for some action, but not very quick and would bring too much emotion to the role
Brad Pitt - cute, but no depth
The Rock - too big and easy to find. he couldn't make the role work

I liked Matt Damon in it also. He brings the right amount of emotion to the role without being too much of anything. He's perfect for the character played, but I was just wondering. And I don't think Tom Cruise could have done better. I get tired of him after a while, so I wouldn't have wanted to see him in this trilogy.

I just saw the first movie a couple of days ago, and thought he played it SOOOO GOOD!!!
I thought it would be just another action movie, but it actually had an interesting plot, with good quality actors/actresses.
Matt Damon plays the role perfectly. He brings emotion, but not too much, and he does all the action in stride.
To answer your question: No, I don't think anyone could have played Jason Bourne better than Matt Damon.

Matt was great in it but if I had to choose a different Bourne I'd have to say that Mark Wahlberg would have done a good job, or Jason Statham, but it was a perfect role for Damon and I give him major props on it

No one couldve been better than Damon in the bourne trilogy. But I'm thinking that Jason Statham because he is mysterious and he has that kind of an english accent that could fit in the plot.

Matt Damon was right for the part. I guess Collin Farrel could also be good for that part.

No it has to be Matt - I loved him in those movies. He is a very good actor in both drama and action. I love all the Bourne movies and I can watch them over and over again.

No, Damon is perfect. He looks and acts the part great and has an awesome name to boot.

Matt had the perfect blend of innocent appearance and competent execution of the action sequences. I can't think of anyone that could have done better job than him.
