Yeah there is this button in the ashtray on my camaro i dunno what it does all i know is that it connects somewhere towards the front????

I was thinking its some sort of light switch and my friend thought it was a nos switch...weird I have no clue tho

Can you tell if there is a label on it? If not your ashtray may have a built in light so you can find it at night and the bulb is burned out right now. That switch may be similar to a door switch.
Just guessing here. I never had a Camaro.
