This guy on my hockey team hooked up with my cousin and then started talking all this sh!t about me. Well he didn't know that she was my cousin so she told him and flipped out at him. Like I usally get something from someone about me being the only girl on my team. And being a girl and playing hockey. I play for my JV high school team. But I never thought it would come from one of my team mates. And I still have half the season to go and I don't know how i'm supposed to play with him when I know he goes around and talks trash on me for no reason other then cause i'm a girl. How am I supposed to play with a guy on my team that trashs me because i'm a girl. What should I do????
Thanks

Try to ignore him. You need to play for the team and to try to win for the team. You aren't playing for him or trying to win for him. Do it for yourself and simply ignore him. If your the only girl on the team then that shows that you are a pretty good player and that you deserve to be on the team. If he talks trash about you behind your back he's just afraid that you will get to be better than him or show him up one day. He's just scared to say it to your face.

Well I know you want your team to still win despite you all differences, so continue to be a good team player even if it means gripping your teeth while playing next to him. I'ma tell you something I learned a long time ago that as long as someone is talking about you that lets you know that you are being thought about. On another note you can approach him and ask him if you have done something or offended him to the point where he feels like he has to bad mouth you. Other than that keep it moving hold your head up because guess what??? There is always going to be somebody who talks about you, and if you spend all your time worrying about why they dont like you then guess what maybe there is a reason.

First of all, Happy New Year.

It seems that you have a situation that isn't girl-friendly. As far as this knucklehead is concerned you can't do anything to adequately on-do his selfishness and stupidity. His actions have placed you on the high road and just staying true to yourself and your team will show that you already have more character than he will ever hope to have.

When you're on the Ice, put it aside and get on with the game.
It might be hard at first to "forget about it".
I really don't like one guy on my team, but I don't show that I don't like him.
I'd rather put the s**t aside and get on with the game. after all you are there to play Hockey.

It's pretty shitty that he is going around saying stuff about you, teams should be buddies, it makes it easier to play and it's more fun that way.

Maybe even suck it up and confront him after practice one day, just ask him why he said what he said and what makes him think that about you.
Sort it all out before your next game.
Don't get all bitchy or anything, jsut talk it over and you never know, you might find that after talking about it that you will get the respect you deserve from the guy.

just blow him a kiss right before you give him the old famous Up the --- (butt) pass. normally that will take care of him.
PS. if he is playing JV, he is probably not that good anyways.
or you could just remind him, the game of hockey is all about respect,
respect for yourself
respect for teammate.
respect for coaches and parents
respect for officials and the game
respect for the opponent

Deck him in practice. lol. Otherwise, talk to your coach or school councelor. Mabie you and he could get together and work it out. Hope all goes well for you. Congratulations on making JV.

Wait until you're playing a scrimmage in practice and deck him out. Then give him a snow shower right in the face! Then yell at him: "WHO'S THE GIRL NOW????"

Your hockey life seems like a low budget soap opera. Hopefully this year will be better.
