Can humans become Mutants??

Is it possible to become a mutant, Because mutants are always interesting to imagine, but are they real? It is possible to become a mutant???

Yep, I'm going into the feild of gene therapy. This feild of medicine/science allows you change genes like those in cancer, in order to destroy it or create new genes like "glow in the dark" just to enhance yourself.
