War is a tool of political officials, and a necessary one.

War is sometimes necessary, but it should be a last resort, not a first resort.
Afghanistan was a necessary war.
Iraq was a war that never needed to be fought. We took our eye off the necessary war in Afghanistan and went off to tilt windmills in Iraq when we allowed Bush to lie us into invading Iraq.

Peace didn't solve the problems of slavery or Nazi death camps. I wonder if we would still be trying to talk them out of it today if endless diplomacy was the answer to everything.

I don't believe that war is NEVER the answer.
Sometimes things happen & you are made to defend yourself.
