This debate is getting tossed around at my New Years party so I thought I'd toss it out to a broader audience. Let me know what you think!

BTW: I don't want this to turn into a men versus women debate. I know men can be dogs. Anyway, peace and thanks. Happy New Year!

I find the nature of this question extremely offensive. It implies that women as a group are unfaithful, which simply isn't true. Some individuals may be, but generalizations like these are in poor taste and border on misogyny (in spite of the disclaimer included in the question).

Women are NOT naturally unfaithful. I, for one, have never cheated on a partner-- and never will. Nor will I ever (knowingly) become involved with someone who is unavailable. That is not to say temptations do not exist. It is a matter of character and self-control.

Please avoid asking such divisive questions in the future, and ask about something more worthy of discussion.

Did you make that profile just now so that you can come on here and tell everyone that you can get laid any time that you want to and it's probably with one of 'our girlfriends'? That you're a sexual god? haha. Whatever, chief. I literally laughed while reading that. You have some confidence on nailing tail on your 8+ women who could quite likely be a 4 or less to someone else. No, actually, to be perfectly honest, I do not think that you got better with your approach and skills on approaching women and sleeping with them in 30 minutes out in the parking lot of a grocery store. More likely, you have learned to hone in on a particular type. That you have a predatory nature about you where you can spot the young wildebeest with a limp in the herd and go to pull them down for your 'kill'. I've known some cheaters in my time, sure, dated some chicks that would go to another if we've had an argument... but they're not all females. You're a perfect example of that because you're one of the worst sort of cheaters. You're the one that finds the weak ones and tempts them away. You know, you actually kind of piss me off. Go be all cool elsewhere.

From an evolutionary perspective, promiscuity is probably a good strategy for passing on your DNA, whether you are male or female. And from that perspective, it isn't that men or women choose to be unfaithful -- their very nature, formed by millions of years of evolution, is what it is because it has been successful. If monogamy were the best survival strategy for the species, then forming faithful couples would be the natural behavior -- but it is not our natural behavior -- our natural behavior is to have sex as often as possible, with as many partners as possible. There is probably an survival value for women in keeping one man as a partner, but promiscuity is still an advantage in passing on her genetic heritage.

I've seen both men and women cheat. I think if you're unhappy you should go your seperate ways before you move on to someone else.

If a woman is cheating on a relationship, then the male is in error somewhere. If he treasures her, then she will be loyal and true.

I tihink everyone in general has the urge to wander...I don't believe it is biologically ingrained in us to stick with one mate forever...that's just what society tells us.

It depends on what you mean by 'unfaithful'. Women usually do not cheat on their partners, if that's what you mean.
