Well one is donate them to the local library, 2 garage sale, 3 find a friend who reads the same kind of books and share, or 4 start a book trading group in your area so those who want to read those titles you have can and then switch with each other when they are done for a new one. Just ideas here, I give mine to a bargin book store when I get to many which lately thankfully isnt many..lol

Look in your local yellowpages for used bookstores... I read paperbacks at a rate of 2-3 a week and had built up 350 odd books. There was a loca used bookstore that would take my old paperbacks, and give me credits toward purchasing more (usually about $2USD per book). Now I keep my "library" at about 100 paperbacks.

Many libraries aren't interested in paperbacks... though SOME will keep them and then have an annual sale to raise funds for the library.

There are also places like retirement homes, VA homes, and the Salvation Army that might make good use of your used tomes.

Good Luck and Happy New Year !!

Bring them to a local used bookstore and use the credit you get to buy a book you haven't read yet.

or....

Join your local Freecycle group and post it as an OFFER. Google Freecycle and/or check in Yahoo groups to find the closest to you.

If you don't want the hassle of a garage sale, donate them to your local library. If they don't want to shelve them, they can sell them and use the money to buy other books. With a large collection, they may keep them.

There are bookstores that buy used books and resell them.
Buy a book, read it, and turn it back in.
