If you have a desperate situation with cockroaches, boric acid is the last thing you want to spread around...yes it will kill a lot but it will just move more to other places, out of sight giving the appearance of results. look for Maxforce roach gel products. You are able to place the bait where the roaches unlike BA powder. The bait not only kills the roach feeding on it but also the baby roaches that feeds on the fecal matter of the adult back in the small crevices where the babies hide.

The roaches actually seem to like it. They eat from it and they don't die immediately, instead they go back to their nests, where they deposit some of the chemical powder they happen to carry on their legs, and spread it all over their nest where their eggs are. When the eggs hatch, it's this killer "food" the offspring's first find, they eat from it, and that's it: they don't even have time alive to get out of their nest. Boric acid doesn't repel cockroaches but it will kill them by jamming up their joints and desiccating them. You should give it a week or two and then see if you notice a difference. I hope this was helpful,Take Care!!! :)

If you have a Home Depot you can usually buy it there or at any hardware store. I've used boric acid and it really doesn't work. Try Bengal Gold in the spray it helped me alot and it got the job done.

You should be able to get it at a hardware store, I should think. You also could just call up a pest control place and see if you can buy some from them ( or have them come spray for you).
Good luck!

Try a large hardware or home supply store. I found some in a grocery, here in the States.

I believe that you call it a chemist shop in Australia. Is that right? We call it a drug store or pharmacy in the US.
