It means that sometimes out of love and effection for a person your judgement becomes a bit altered and you do things you normally wouldn't do . People outside of the relationship are often baffled by what others do in the name of love. Example: A woman falls completely in love and drops out of college to follow her new boyfriend to Alaska so he can follow his dream of panning for gold . Love just makes some people blind to reality.

The one your talking about means that if you fall in love with someone, looks does not matter. Logically, you would have to be attracted to the person in the first place, but sometimes love just takes over.
