An ' Oliebol " , Traditional around Dutch New year's celebrations.
It is a sort of round donut with raisins/ apple ( sometimes almond) in it coated with powdered white sugar.
It is so traditional it is virtually obligatory, but I love them.
The alternative is called Appelflappen ( you're supposed to serve both ) .
