well... my truthful answer is a piece... well, it's a song..? the piece is entitled "Song Without Words (op.109)" so I guess it is a song... (written by Mendelssohn, if there's any chance you were wondering)
In more modern terms, I would probably say Brand New Colony by the Postal Service... I realize it wasn't released in '07, but it definitely sums up my year, I'd say.

As odd as it sounds, "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne. I was crazy for this guy who (surprise) had a girlfriend, and despite the fact that it was so reminiscent of my teenage years, I would listen to that song repeatedly because pretty much every word fit my life and my relationship with that guy. As luck would have it, we ended up together (and are still together). Even if it's crazy, I'll always have a soft spot for that song.
