My last day of 2007 was MONUMENTAL! My first grandchild was born this morning. We had a birthday cake this evening for her, with a "0" candle on it, and we sang happy birthday to welcome her into this world. As I held her and looked at her sweet face, I saw the women who have come before her who are not here to welcome her, and the people in her life who will love her and make her confident, capable and strong. My FIRST day of 2008 will be spent loving that little girl.

Last Day... pleasant, spent it mostly on here exchanging good wishes with everyone.
First Day.....Terrible...my Daughter 32, went out with so called friends, to cut a long story short she was hit in the face, big lump on her head, purse stolen which also had her door key in, couldn't get home, no one in family could fetch her cos they had all had a drink, my eldest daughter ended up going in a taxi and bringing her home at 4.30 am.......all this after I spent nearly the whole of new years eve spouting how good 2008 was going to be for me as "I felt it in my bones"....I should learn to keep my big mouth shut!!! but hey ho!!

Researching my family tree. I found out that my great, great, great uncle was a famous abolitionist, he came to the US in 1840's, he was a preacher, born in England. I found that my great, great, great grandfather was a pioneer and helped devolop upper Wisconsin, opened a lumber milll, became an alderman, then the Mayor and had 7 children. There are streets named after him.

I had a migraine headache. The first one in over 6 months. So far the first day of 2008 has only been here for 13 minutes for me

Pretty good day, all in all. I got a lot of work done, played on here some, scratched the cats behind the ears. Plenty of other ways I could have spent the day I'd have had to work harder to find fulfilling.
Tomorrow's going to be another good'un.

2 attempts to buy new apparel 12/30 &12/31/07. Both days found retailers closed early. My take on that is... in 2008 I should save money and no more impulse spending.

Well, the last day of 2007 was okay. Then a little bit after midnight, I kissed my boyfriend [ for the first time in 13 months! don't ask!! ] We'll see how today goes! Hope you have a wonderful new year!
