Okay so I am the one who did the poll a couple of weeks or days ago on which would look better on brown eyes, Teal green or Sultry Plum! So Sultry plum won and I ended up buying another waterproof pencil by NYC called (ironically) sultry plum! I tried it on and you can't even see it =(! How do I make the pencil show on my dark skin?

Is there a way to warm up the pencil without a lighter? If so, please tell me!

Is there a way to warm a pencil up with just water?

Instead of wasting a lot of $ on differnt colors of eyeliner to find what looks best. Take a slim angled brush, get it wet and run it through shadow. It shoudl show up better and give the same effect. You can buy one of the inexpensive eyeshadow pallets to play around with untill you find the perfect color, then invest in some better quality stuff once you get the color & technique down

One of my favorites is Powerpoint waterproof eye pencil - MAC. These pencils are creamy (aka easy to apply), and stay on. It is more pricey than a NYC brand, but so much less work, and I love the colors. I use PermaPlum. It lasts a long time too.

If it fits your budget, I would give it a try.

try using a light color on your eyes and then coloring the eyeliner - like white on your eyes, then the liner - make sure you use a good brand - cuz those cheap brands don't hold well on skin

I think you bought a poor quality liner. More expensive brands have more pigment in them, and they also go on smoothly and richly. If you have to stick with a drugstore brand, try Revlon Colorstay or L'Oreal eyeliners. Otherwise, get something from the department store or Sephora.

I blast my eye pencils with the hair dryer on hot. It melts a little so the pigment is softened and will just glide out (don't put it on right away! It's too mushy!) It always works!

you have to try new brand until you find the one that works on your skin.sometimes you have to burn it before you use it.

Ummm, try going over the line alot, or maybe you havent worn in the pencil enough for it to work properly.
so, I dunno draw on your arm for a while or something and hope that works.

I think it will look good.

NYC is not that very good, you can either take a lighter and warm the tip before you apply, (careful not to burn your self) or buy you a better brand...you get what you pay for!!
