I know sometimes the drugs and the sex and the romance makes things interesting. But it also can get overplayed. I hear you. Um i feell kinda proud of you for wanting to read better books and your only in 8th grade. I never realized i loved to read till i got into highschool, just not anything my teachers, forced us to. lol
For you i recommend Wuthering Heights about two people in love Cathy and Heathcliff. Cathy is very sefish and Heathcliff is very dark and stubborn hardened over time by bullying of the higher class. Very good because the book has a lot of symbolism and true love and how far it goes even in death. Also try these they are mostly young adult but very interesting books. =)
