This may sound weird, but at the top of my vagina it hurts when something touches it. It's kinda itchy too. It's only at the top, no where else. What should I do? I have never had any sexual contact. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. What has caused this and how to I get rid of it?

For more info: I did just buy new underwear and not wash it, I just got my period last night. I don't wear tampons at night so I used a pad.

Is there a bump? Sometimes you get ingrown hairs or boils there, but I don't know that they necessarily itch (they are more like a big under the skin pimple bump). If the main problem is itching, could it maybe be an allergy? Did you change detergents or soap or even buy new underwear and not wash it first? If you are concerned, you might have it looked at by a doctor who could actually examine it.

You need to get this checked just to be on the safe side.

You might have an yeast infection or eaten something that does not agree with you. Or you might have a U T I (Urinary tract infection) I would make an appointment and see your doctor. For now you can buy some over the counter cream to help with the itch. Monostat or other vaginal creams. Good Luck hope this helps.

ok this may be gross,
after my period, my vagina gets like really soar from putting the tampon in and out and constantly wiping it.
so if the pains are coming after your period, then its normal, but if not, then i really don't know and you should get it checked.
(:

This could be a symptom of infection but the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
